General Summary

State Representative Kevin Chambliss is now accepting applications in his Miami, Florida office to assist with a variety of administrative and public relations matters requiring a thorough understanding of the policies, procedures, and operating practices of the Florida Legislature.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

1. Knowledge and application of House Rules, Protocol, House-specific Applications, House Administrative Policies and the Legislature’s Joint Policies and Procedures.
2. Calendar and Scheduling
3. Constituent Management
4. Legislative Research
5. Legislative Process
6. Public Relations and Press Releases
7. Stakeholder Relations
8. Designated Tallahassee Staff during Committee Weeks and Session and Travel System
9. Mandatory Trainings as Assigned

Minimum Qualifications

An Associate’s Degree from an accredited college or university and two years of administrative experience.

Professional administrative experience can substitute on a year-for-year basis for the required college education.

Salary

Annual salary is $40,128
Excellent employee benefits.

This position is not eligible for remote work.
