Project Description: |
(Include services to be provided) This program diverts substance abusing parents charged with child abuse or neglect into Children Home Society's Family Builders program with Gateway's wrap around substance abuse services beginning immediately and continuing beyond Family Builder's services. Services include an assessment and wrap around services which can include detoxification, residential, room & board with out-patient services, outpatient services, in-home counseling and aftercare. |

Measurable Outcome Anticipated: |
Either 1)Substance Abusing parents will remain drug-free for at least one year post treatment and regain/maintain custody of their child with no further abuse or neglect or 2) Parent' s inability to maintain a lifestyle which will assure child's safety will be documented and DCF can move more quickly into permancy planning and adoption for the child. |
