| Florida Statute 237.40 created local education foundations (direct support organization) for the purpose of raising funds to provide educational programs for the enrichment and enhancement of school age children in Florida. This project will allow education foundations to more effectively accomplish their legislatively mandated mission by providing matching funds for private contributions raised by education foundations. | Continuance of K-12 Challenge Grants Program with funds provided to each local public school district education foundation and are proportionately allocated to each public school district foundation on the basis of matching public dollars with private funds.
