Project Description: |
Plans call for the demolition of a current underutilized and deteriorating facility and the construction of a one-stop shop facility to house the City's building permitting, engineering permitting, fire permitting, occupational licenses and zoning and development review operations. |
|
Is this a water project as described in Chapter 2002-291, Laws of Florida? |
No |
|
Measurable Outcome Anticipated: |
This One Stop Shop facility is anticipated to stimulate additional public investments as well as much needed private investments to make the northwest neighborhood economically viable. Several additional development initiatives are also planned for the area, which include a City-CRA Office facility (this is already in place), major infrastructure improvements and a residential development project by the Bank of America. The creation of these new facilities will create a much needed sense of security in the neighborhood and serve as people generators, which will bring in people from all sectors. |
