| An after school program for Middle school age children involved in Juvenile Justice System or at risk for Juvenile behaviors. This program will provide an array of services including academic tutoring,behavior modification,effective parenting training, improved socialization skills,pre-vocational planning,mental health and/or substance abuse treatment,teenage pregancy prevention,self-esteem programing,value clarification. The program will focus on early intervention and prevention, its aim will be to divert youth from being committed as juvenile delinquents and moving through the cycle of first degree misdemeanors to felonies. Participants who successfully complete the program will be able to lead socially acceptable lifestyles. In addition, government funds will not need to be directed on a long-term basis to these youths. | |||||||||
