The document entitled, "Fueling Florida's Future, Strategic Fit of Alternative Fuels in Florida," was produced by the Clean Fuel Florida Advisory Board in January 2001, and outlines the need of expanding alternative fuel usage within the state. | |||||||||

| The project provides for the purchase of 14 alternative fuel/hybrid vehicles which are ideally-suited for use within approximately 15.5 sq. miles in the City. These vehicles will be used by meter readers, code enforcement and building inspector officials who are on the road throughout the day in the normal course of their work. Over time this program will significantly reduce harmful emissions and reduce dependence on foreign oil. | |||||||||
