| The City of Hallandale Beach Cultural Community Center is utilized by an avg. of 6,200 persons annually for city-sponsored events, as well as private events such as lectures, wedding receptions, meetings, art exhibits and many other activities of interest to the public. The Center, howver, is in need of improvements and expansion to accomodate current users as well as to attract potential users. The improvements will include the expansion of the auditorium, restroom and lobby area, the addition of storage space and dressing rooms, as well as the replacement of wallpaper and carpet. These improvements will allow the facility to host events, activities and functions they currently have to turn away because of the lack of space and amenities. FZunds have been budgeted for expansion, but additional funding is needed towards operational costs while the expansion is taking place. | |||||||||
