The 2001-2002 Florida Legislature recognized that the closure of G. Pierce Wood State Hospital would displace children currently served in adult beds in the Manatee Glens Crisis Stabilization Unit. The Legislature funded 2.43 children's Baker Act beds, plus 24-hour crisis emergency support for children and adolescents at Manatee Glens Crisis Unit. This request is to continue this funding. |
