Project Description: |
This project is for construction of the Gibson Drive outfall improvements at Lake Conway. Presently, the streets in close proximity to the outfall do not have curbs. In addition, the existing inlet capacity is exceeded during larger storm events. As a result, runoff often leaves the street right-of-way and enters residential lots (and at times flooding a residential dwelling). The conveyance to the lake from the existing street inlet is via a shallow swale between two residences, that has areas of erosion as a result of the higher velocities during larger storm events. The City desires to provide curb in the vicinity of the inlet to direct flow to the inlet, increase the size of the inlet to handle larger flows, pipe the conveyance to eliminate the erosion, and provide treatment for the flow through the installation of a water quality treatment best management practice structure. |
