The treatment process used is presently unable to treat the wastewater to meet the state standards for land application.

This project will include the necessary engineering and construction of the improvements to the City's WWTP.

Measurable Outcome Anticipated:
The anticipated outcome of the improvements to the City's WWTP will be measurable, and will include the improved effluent quality that is pumped to the land application site for effluent disposal. The existing WWTP that was constructed in 1985 is nearing its useful life for a fixed-film trickling filter system, and cannot meet the existing treatment requirements outlined in the City's current operating permit.
