Statewide Interest: |
This roadway is a lifeline for many local and regional businesses in South Lake County and West Orange County. Enhanced capacity will stimulate economic growth as vacant lands in the area are developed. Commercial and industrial land uses could be more fully utilized creating a wealth of new jobs earning approximately $12-$25 per hour. It will also allow for a decrease in travel time thus decreasing the amount of lost wages due to long commuting times. This project will also provide intermodal linkages, which is the primary means for long-distance movement of goods within the central florida region as well as markets in other states and counties. |
