The continued growth of Hispanic and Creole populations in South Florida has placed a strain on neighborhoods and schools. This appropriation will help create awareness in neighborhoods and schools where Crime Watch can make an impact in reducing crime in communities where the immigrant residents are not familiar with our laws. Airport and Seaport Watch will bring back two previously successful programs which create awareness and reduce crime in South Florida's two largest ports of entry. |
