Services Provided/Benefit to State: |
The building will serve as an emergency shelter for citizens throughout the state. ARC has on call staff already, which will man the shelter. Staff is trained in basic first aid and CPR and agency has an existing safety management plan. The building will be equipped with two feeding facilities. A state owned and operated facility catering to the profoundly disabled, is located across the street. They could act as a place of sanctuary in time of emergency to those needing this service. In addition, our pre-vocational department can train clients to function in the general population producing income beyond what they get from the state, giving them a higher standard of living. |
