Project Description:

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Teens Read and Talk involves youth 13-19 in reading, writing and current event conversations that will develop and enhabce their ability in the areas of creative and analytical thinking, writing and reporting.  Participants will be exposed to careers in journalism, public relations, broadcasting and productions.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Services Provided/Benefit to State:

 

 

 

 

 

Teens Today proposes to provide at least 10,000 "at-risk" youth between the ages of 13-19 with a series of workshops, enrichment and youth resource activities and opportunities to discuss current issues, voice their opinions (e.g. violence, education, crime, guns, drugs, gangs, sexual abuse, etc) and to change negative behaviors through involvement.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Measurable Outcome Anticipated:

 

 

 

 

 

To conduct 20 activity workshops, 200 Teens Read and Talk workshops, create current issue speakers bureau/reporters team create T.R.A.T. current event video library and 500 publications per month for participating schools
