Development of primary care center to serve the uninsured and underinsured residents in the Dania Beach area.
Services Provided/Benefit to State:
Traditional primary care services will be provided, as well as necessary referrals to higher levels of care, when needed. The State benefits from having primary health care easily accessible to an area having over 25% of households below 200% of Federal Poverty Levels.
Measurable Outcome Anticipated:
Decrease in expensive emergency room visits and lower use of higher cost medical treatment due to early diagnosis and treatment in primary care setting.
