Project Description:
To create jobs for people with disabilities by using people with disabilities, through a contract with workforce development division of DOE, who would seek out employers like governmental entities, not for profit organizations and private businesses. This program could also be done by the Occupational Access and Opportunity Commission.
Services Provided/Benefit to State:
The individuals hired would be responsible for creating new jobs for people with disabilities and train the staff of the employer so that they feel comfortable with new employees and can meet their needs. They would also be on call to trouble shoot any problems which may arise and seek solutions.
Measurable Outcome Anticipated:
Increased employment and job retention of people with disabilities.
