Project Description:
Expand current temporary Crisis Shelter to 24 beds. The FL Dept. of Children and Families approved a waiver to place additional children that have been removed from their homes due to abusive situations and into the facility.
Services Provided/Benefit to State:
The Dept. of Children and Families has a crisis situation regarding children removed from their homes because of abuse. Children have had to stay at service centers because there are no beds. This expansion would provide appropriate accommodations for these childrens.
Measurable Outcome Anticipated:
Appropriate and adequate space for children who have been removed from their homes due to abuse and placed in protective custody.
