Project Description:
Development of a clearinghouse agency and coordinator for interantional trade and commerce activities by; undertaking marketing collateral studies, coordinating trade shows and events, identifying and developing alliances with other cities in the Western Hemisphere having manufacturing sectors that have high export sales potential in North, Central or South America, and the Caribbean, and that use South Florida as a gateway.
Services Provided/Benefit to State:
In association with trade-related organizations, the TMC will maximize the volume of sales and the usage of infrastructure by; servicing incoming and outgoing missions, offering match making services and training, performing quantification of results from outgoing trade missions, providing electronic trade lends, offering one-on-one trade consulting with international trade experts in various industries, increasing community awareness and networking opportunities with local and foreign business leaders, coordinating meetings of organizations, associations, associations, trade offices, providing export marketing support, international market research databases, supplier catalogs and reference materials, providing website information, e.g. calendar of trade events.
Measurable Outcome Anticipated:
When fully operational, the TMC will help to develop the economy of the entire State of Florida, since Miami's U.S. Costums District 52 accounts for over 75% of Florida's international trade activities. TMC can support missions that have a large regional approach via the Florida Trade Network, thereby increasing business opoortunities throughout Florida.
