Project Description:
Ballet Florida is privileged to be asked to perform in various venues outside of our home base. We have opportunities to travel to under-served communities in Florida, various cities in the United States and international locations.
Services Provided/Benefit to State:
Funding provides opportunities for residents in under-served communities to experience the joys of live ballet performances, enhances the State's reputation as a cultural destination for domestic and international tourism.
Measurable Outcome Anticipated:
We expect to perform 8 ballets in under-served communities, reaching approximately 4,000 people. We will perform at the prestigious Joyce Theater in New York in Spring 2001. We expect to perform 10 to 12 additional ballets in and out of the United States reaching an additional 5,000 to 6,000 people.
