ARC/Desoto requests these funds for capital improvement & expansion efforts. Funds made available would be used to retire mortgage debts for two group homes, to further the replacement of our current substandard facility, & to acquire large equipment & vehicles to advance our day programs. |

ARC is responsible for providing day, residential, and employment services to developmentally disabled citizens of Desoto County. According to the current report from the Department of Children & Families, in District 8, there are 496 persons with unmet needs. Internal waiting lists identify 20 from Desoto County requesting new services with 10 more expected in June 2000, due to high school students becoming 18 years of age. |
