The Florida Small Business Development Center Network (FSBDCN) program is a federal partnership program that provides management and technical assistance to existing and potential small businesses through a statewide network of 19 college and university based centers.  Federal funds from the U.S. Small Business Administration and existing matching funds from individual colleges and universities through their respective general education budgets have provided a solid foundation and infrastructure to deliver needed one-on-one counseling and training to small business clients.  This request seeks state line item dollar for dollar matching funds from the $3.722 million of federal funds currently provided to the program to meet the growing demand for service offerings and increase geographical outreach in rural and under-served areas. No administrative costs are included in this request and funding is directed towards direct counseling and training services to the statewide small and minority small business community.
