Project Description:

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

This project would provide for a variety of improvements to the surrounds for Oakland Park Boulevard, one of the major thoroughfares in the City of Sunrise.  Improvements would be made to the median and rights of way for a section of the Boulevard, including swale reconstruction, median improvements, pedestrian walkways, and sound and noise barriers.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Services Provided/Benefit to State:

 

 

 

 

 

The aesthetic improvement of this section of Oakland Park Boulevard would have a positive impact on statewide and regional tourism.  Moreover, the project would protect property values in surrounding areas.  The pedestrian amenities will provide additional safety for local residents and tourists alike.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Measurable Outcome Anticipated:

 

 

 

 

 

The project will provide aestetic improvements to the affected area, as well as decreasing noise pollution currently experienced by adjacent residential properties.  Drainage characteristics should also be improved.  An overall positive impact on property values in the area should be experienced.
