VNS for treatment of refractory epilepsy and seizure control
Services Provided/Benefit to State:
to treat Florida Medicaid recipients with VNS provides adequate seizure control and provide improvement of quality of life - cost effective treatment for refractory epilepsy patients who are not responding to AEDS.
Measurable Outcome Anticipated:
VNS is cost effective as reported by 4 centers that study the cost of treatment and will improve quality of life while saving treatment costs for the Medicaid program
