The Broward Boulevard Corridor is one of the higher crime areas in Broward County. The project is under a CPTED design - a concept that expands upon the assumption that the proper design and effective use of the built environment can lead to a reduction in the incidence of crime and an improvement in quality of life. |

The project helps to beautify a state road and will help lower the crime rate in the area. Crime is listed in the public surveys as the number one issue as it relates to the quality of life; projects such as this can lower crime. |
