The STEP program stimulates and supports seaport training and employment programs which match state and local training porgrams with identified job skills associated with employment opportunities in the port, maritime, and transportation industries for the purpose of providing training, educational and informational services as requird to stimulate jobes in the foregoing industries.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Services Provided/Benefit to State:

 

 

 

 

 

STEP enhances the potential of Florida's seaports and their communities by identifying and facilitating industry driven training, employment, business growth and international trade by effectuating programs focused to meet the needs of employers, businesses and individuals seeking employment in the maritime area.  Programs include (1) maritime employment service/website; (2) targeted jobs training; (3) secondary schools and career development; (4) minority business enterprise development
