Project Description:
A mini-medical education experience designed to motivate disadvantaged / minority students to pursue careers in the health professions and become competitive applicants, especially for medicine.
Services Provided/Benefit to State:
Assists Florida's medical schools to move close to the proportional enrollment of under-represented minorities by increasing the pool of qualified applicants.
Measurable Outcome Anticipated:
Ninety percent of partcipants will pursue admission to health profession schools, fifty percent of whom will apply to and be accepted to medical school.
