Project Description:

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Funds are needed for the completion of a new Madison County Agricultural Office complex.  This is a community complex.  In addition, it will house the University of Florida's Extension unit to Madison County.  The community nature of this project is to provide a place where local organizations can meet (e.g. Cattlemen's Association, North Florida Livestock Association, HSIP, etc.); provide facility for continued adult and youth education (e.g. Agricultural Training Programs, Family & Consumer Training Programs, Youth developement activities, Small business development and education); a place for local citizens and civic organizations to conduct educational and/or information exchange.  Project will have a computer lab with high speed Internet access to provide small business and adult education.

The Florida Cooperative Extension Service provides many educational incentives to local constituents.  These include, but are not limited to, Pesticide training programs, Agricultural Training programs, home ownership training courses, child day care training, financial management, small business development opportunities, youth development programs and youth mentoring opportunities.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Measurable Outcome Anticipated:

 

 

 

 

 

The University of Florida & the Board of County Commissioners conduct evaluations yearly to measure performance outcomes of the program that have been delivered to citizens.  This includes an advisory committee to oversee and make recommendations to modify, delete, or add to programs to meet the needs of local constituents.
