Project Description:
The parent support organization provides practical assistance to parents with a network of resources that include a parent's hotline, relevant literature, support groups and a resource library and website.
Services Provided/Benefit to State:
The improvement of hotline staff training, followup calls to hotline contacts, expansion of database to include information on parent support groups and parent advocates;the establishment of Parent Advocates at each member shelter and counseling locations; the exapansion of the Florida Network Website to include resource information for parents.
Measurable Outcome Anticipated:
provide a network of resources for parents to access that offer practical assistance to parents and guardians in dealing with problems and concerns of children and family issues.
