Project Description:
To award an annual appropriation of $250,000 to each of the four not-for-project College Bowl Organizations in the State of Florida. In any year where any Bowl hosts a National Championship game, then such year, the Legislature would be awarding $1,000,000 to that not-for-profit Bowl Organization, while awarding the other three $250,000.
Services Provided/Benefit to State:
Among the many services that will be provided that will benefit the State are (a) significant economic impact through a dramatic increase in out-of-state tourism, (b) an increase in both national and international media exposure, and (c) an enhancement of the area's positive image.
Measurable Outcome Anticipated:
The outcome that can be anticipated from the services provided are (a) increased state dollars, (b) an increase in hotel room occupancy, and (c) an increase in employment.
