Project Description:

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Create 4 crisis stabilization treatment beds for children to be located in Collier County to serve the 4 counties in the southern part of DCF District 8.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Services Provided/Benefit to State:

 

 

 

 

 

To enhance public safety by providing a safe and secure children's acute treatment program for crisis stabilization in order to prevent more restrictive and costly residential placements.  There is no current funding available for these beds in Collier County, and services are not reasonably available for continuity of care and family involvement in nearby counties. The addition of these beds would serve to meet the current need for child crisis stabilization services in the southern part of DCF District 8.  Recurring funding would prevent uninterrupted children's crisis services.
