Portland is a rural farming community. The facility would provide educational/training activities and event to provide guidance in the lastest aspects of farming. The facility would also provide opportunities for Extension Service and 4-H Club activities, benefitting the local youth and the community as a whole. Walton County Emergency Services is seeking grant that would allow this facility to be constructed with sufficient strength to provide emergency shelter during hurricanes and severe storms. |
