County Roads 2 and 2-A are in desperate need of resurfacing. Currently, they are a safety hazard. CR 2 traverses Walton County east and west. Two bridges on this road, at Turkey Creek and Caney Creek, are in dire need of replacing. Walton County proposes to resurface the entirety of CR 2 and 2-A and replace the two unsafe bridges. |

Safety is the major benefit if these two roads are resurfaced the the two bridges replaced. CR 2 and 2-A are alternate evacuation routes important to the orderly evacuation of residents of Walton County and adjacent Florida counties into Alabama. These roads are especially valuable when major highways are congested. |
