VNS for treatment of refractory epilepsy and seizure control
Services Provided/Benefit to State:
to treat Florida Medicaid recipient with VNS treatment provides an adequate seizure control, quality of life improvement and cost effective treatment for refractory epilepsy patients who are not responding to AEDs
Measurable Outcome Anticipated:
VNS treatment is cost effective as reported by 4 center studies and to cover cost of treatment between one and a half to two years, improve quality of life and giving Florida Medicaid program savings thereafter
