Project Description:
develop family preservation and support program for parents involved in the criminal justice system and their children; specific target population are parents being released from correction facilities and reuniting with their children
Services Provided/Benefit to State:
funds which are currently spent to maintain children in foster care, prevent school droupout and juvenile delinquency will decrease or diminish -- adult prison recidivism will decrease
Measurable Outcome Anticipated:
1)prevent children of parents involved in criminal justice system from being involved in criminal justice system --2)provide parents involved in criminal justice system with skill to effectively assume parenting responsibilities--3)provide family intervention services
