Project Description: |
This project is to increase the number of state funded beds in the Adult Crisis Stabilization Unit to 23. Current funding provides for the operation of 19 beds. The facility is licensed to provide crisis stabilization for 30 consumers. Current funding allows for the operation of 26 beds. Consideration for recurring funding is being requested. |

Services Provided/Benefit to State: |
This crisis stabilization is the only publicly funded Baker Act receiving facility in Lee County. The addition of 4 beds would increase the state funded capacity to 23 beds. This is a public safety issue. Funding for crisis stabilization operations is in the Department of Children and Families budget. However, there is not sufficient funding provided to District 8 to meet the need in Lee County. Consideration of recurring funding is being requested. |
