Project Description: |
The project is a pilot project with Broward Regional Health Planning Council devising strategies to reorganize and enhance an infrastructure designed to increase access for the uninsured and underinsured in Broward County. The strategies could be applied to the other 66 counties in the State of Florida. A step-by-step guide will be developed to share with other counties as they also seek to define system efficiencies that will result in optimal use of the existing health care system by currently uninsured and underinsured populations. Broward is an appropriate county to initiate this project since it is the second largest most populous county in Florida and the county with a high rate of population growth. |
