Project Description:

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Safe Families is a child abuse prevention program that draws on the existing resources of the statewide network of Florida Exchange Center's prevention programs to work with families, in their homes, to eliminate risk factors for abuse, neglect and family instability.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Services Provided/Benefit to State:

 

 

 

 

 

In-home intensive and long-term work with families that strives to eliminate the risk factors for abuse and neglect and stabilize families by achieving parent education, stable housing, livable wages, employment, health insurance and childcare, delay of initial or subsequent pregnancy and involvement in child's school.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Measurable Outcome Anticipated:

 

 

 

 

 

450 families enrolled - 350 complete goals, including no confirmed abuse during two-year period of acquisition of three (3) of the following stable housing, livable wage employment, health and child care for children, delay of initial or subsequent pregnancy, and involvement in their child's school.
