Project Description:
The funding will be used to build out the first floor of building that will house state-funded and state-mandated services under F.S. 394.
Services Provided/Benefit to State:
The program will provide the following services: a state-licensed substance abuse Hotline, state-licensed Baker Act transport, sexual abuse counseling services for abused children, financial & economic assistance for low- income families, and establish a forensic medical rape exam facility.
Measurable Outcome Anticipated:
The quantity and quality of services for persons in crisis will be expanded. There will also be an increased administrative efficiency and cost-effectiveness as a result of establishing this facility. More citizens in crisis in the Hillsborough County area will be reached and served.
