Project Description: |
Located at the northeast intersection of US#1 and Pineda Causeway in North Melbourne, Pineda Landing Park provides limited boating access to the Indian River Lagoon. This ramp is the only public access to the Indian River Lagoon in a 16 mile area from Cocoa to Melbourne. The 4 1/2 acre park also offers minimal opportunities for picknicking and small group meetings in an existing 1,000 square foot house which is used as a community building. Due to the current location of this building, public access is restricted to the north 1/3 of the park. Assistance is needed in providing public boating facilities in the central section of Brevard County. |
