Project Description:
The project will update the potable water supply systems to Tyndall Air Force Base and will provide a new potable water system to Mexico Beach, FL. System will be provided by Bay County Government.
Services Provided/Benefit to State:
Improving the infrastructure of transportation and utility services that are provide by local and state governments to U.S. military bases is a key component of military base retention. Florida will benefit from this allocation in several ways. First, the state funds will be matched on a 4.5 to 1 basis by local government funds. Second, the state will obviously benefit from the efforts to retain the base.
