Project Description: |
This represents an increase of $350,000 to funds budgeted last year. $100,000 would go to each of the three centers snd $50,000 would be used to upgrade computer equipment. CMS put in an LBR to continue last year's funding only. The increased funding will alow the centers to continue to provide the excellent service to an increased workload. |

Services Provided/Benefit to State: |
Poison prevention education and awareness to prevent accidental poisonings are provided by each of the three centers located in Jacksonville, Miami, and Tampa. The State benefits as these centers provide information which reduces the inappropriate use of EMS and emergency room services. Cost effective management is provided for all toxic exposures. |
