Project Description:
The Premium Assistance Act (SB 344) creates a way for micro-businesses to provide heath insurancee for owners and employees. The amounts shown below are assuming that program will NOT be expanded in years 2 and 3.
Services Provided/Benefit to State:
Small group health insurance coverage will be accesssed by small business owners for themselves and employees, thus reducung the cost of uncompensated health care and/or medically needy dollars spent by the state.
Measurable Outcome Anticipated:
An increase in the insured population of Florida.
