Project Description:
This program is a complete perinatal care program serving rural counties with easy access for clients to receive prenatal care, 24 hour call system to 3 midwives for delivery or problems.
Services Provided/Benefit to State:
This service has been in existence for 15 years and has contributed to reduced infant and perinatal mortality in the counties served.
Measurable Outcome Anticipated:
Indentified as a model perinatal program by the Sothern Governor's Association. Measurable outcomes are reduced perinatal mortality rate and increased access to health care.
