Premier literary event in the United States. Project promotes reading, writing and books to community and children year round.
Services Provided/Benefit to State:
Reading in elementary schools year round, presentations and workshops by renowned authors. National attention to state of Florida. C-span covers it a replays it year round.
Measurable Outcome Anticipated:
500,000 people attend 3-day culminating event. Thousands of children receive benefit of readings and educational activities. Local economy is boosted.
