Project Description:
The project will focus on the deveolpment of next-generation wireless semiconductor chips for a broad range of applications from cell phones to wireless internet connections.
Services Provided/Benefit to State:
This program offers a unique opportunity for Florida to leverage off the federal governments' investment to rapidly increase Florida's share of the wireless communications marketplace.The program will create significant high wage job growth for Florida and provide another piece of the high tech infrastructure that is essential in creating a Silicon Valley type environment in Florida.
Measurable Outcome Anticipated:
High wage creation: development of a segment of Florida's I-4 High Tech Corridor: establishment of a clean industry.
