Project Description:
Develop incentives for school improvement by doubling the number of Project CHILD classrooms throughout the State. Funds will provide bonus incentives to recruit and mentor new CHILD teachers. Bonuses will be contingent upon performance and full implementation of the CHILD essential components.
Services Provided/Benefit to State:
Project CHILD is a state-funded program that has had a significant impact on improving student learning in reading, writing, and mathematics in grades K-5. This project will double the impact to reach over 18,000 additional students.
Measurable Outcome Anticipated:
Improved test scores for reading, writing, and mathematics.
