|
This project involves remodeling a centrally located, 30 year old building, three story building formerly occupied by the Florida Department of Transportation. The Broward County Health Department (BCHD) currently pays $270,000 per year in lease payments. This space will allow the termination of these leases and, in the process, gain an additional 21,000 sq. ft. of space to relieve overcrowding. The cost of the renovation is estimated to be $4,400,000. Last year the Legislature appropriated $4,000,000 to this project. This request is to see that the renovation is complete and cover move-in expenses. |
