Project Description:
Upgrade to WWTP as required by Administrative Order A0030NW issued March 25, 1999. Improper treatment and management of a wastewater treatment that is generated from pipeline cleaning operations poses an environmental threat to both surface and groundwater. This project is aimed to improve the system reliability by improving primary treatment, replacement of many of the mechanical equipment units at this facility which are at or near the end of their service life, construction of redundent process units and provision of a standby power supply.
Measurable Outcome Anticipated:
The anticipated outcome of this project will improve quality of discharged water and eliminate water quality violation in Mosquito Creek/ Apalachicola River. The project would provide a safe, dependable wastewater treatment system for citizens of Chattahoochee.
