Project Description:
$82,000 for Renovation and Improvements to Interior. $20,000 for modification to South Entrance, which would comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act. $18,000 would help the courthouse enhance security, which is needed after the recent terrorist attacks. Three of four years were funded out of Article V. The current courthouse does not meet current code requirements. This particular courthouse houses the Flagler County Clerk of Courts, the Supervisor of Elections, the Property Appraiser, the Tax Collector and courtrooms.
Measurable Outcome Anticipated:
Bring Building up to code and meet ADA Requirements. It is very important that this building meet current code and because it houses many of the county services it must be meet the guidelines outlined in the Americans with Disabilities Act so that it is accessible to all the residents of Flagler.
