Project Description:

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

This project involves the construction of a reuse transmission system from the City of Fernandina Beach Wastewater Treatment Plant to the Rayonier Paper Mill.  The proposed reuse transmission system will convey 2 million gallons per day (MGD) of reuse at startup and 4.25 MGD of reuse at build-out to the Rayonier Paper Mill to replace groundwater currently being utilized for cooling water in the mill process.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Measurable Outcome Anticipated:

 

 

 

 

 

This project will conserve approximately 730 Million gallons of water per year at start-up and 1.55 Million gallons per year at build-out by replacing a withdrawal from the Floridan Aquifer with reclaimed water that would otherwise be disposed of in the Amelia River.
